Privacy Policy

Armovia helps you catalog your clothes and build outfits from what you already own. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to use it only to run the app for you.
Information we collect
- Account. You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an e-mail code. We receive a stable identifier and your e-mail address (with Apple you can use the private relay address). A display name and an avatar photo are optional. You can also try Armovia without signing in — a guest account tied to a pseudonymous identifier is created for your session, and its wardrobe moves into your account when you sign in.
- Your wardrobe. The photos of clothing you add and the details attached to them — category, color, season, material, and tags — plus the outfits you save and the collage images generated for them.
- Style profile. If you take the color-type quiz, we store your answers and the resulting color type so outfit suggestions can match your palette. The quiz is optional and you can retake it anytime.
- Location and weather. If you allow location access in iOS, your device sends approximate coordinates (rounded to about 1 km) directly to Apple Weather (Apple's WeatherKit service) for current conditions, and looks up your city name through Apple's system geocoder. These requests go straight from your device to Apple — so Apple sees your IP address, as any server you connect to does — and Armovia's own servers never receive or store your coordinates. Apple states that location data used for weather forecasts is not associated with your identity. At most, a short weather summary like “18°, cloudy” accompanies an outfit request.
- Usage & diagnostics. We keep basic server logs and per-account AI-usage counters to keep the service healthy and enforce fair-use limits. The app currently includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- Launch waitlist. If you leave your e-mail on our website, we store it solely to tell you when Armovia launches. Ask us to remove it anytime at hello@armovia.app.
How we use it
- To recognise and tag the clothes you photograph.
- To assemble outfit suggestions from your wardrobe and render their collage images.
- To keep the app working, secure, and improving over time.
AI processing and service providers
Armovia's tagging and outfit features are powered by OpenAI models. They run only with your permission: the app asks before the first request, and you can change your choice anytime in Profile → AI features. When allowed, the clothing photos you select and your wardrobe details are sent to OpenAI's API to be recognised, tagged, and assembled into suggestions and collage images — without your name, e-mail, or account identifier attached.
OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its models unless the customer expressly opts in, and we have not. We also instruct OpenAI not to retain API responses. Depending on the API configuration, OpenAI may keep limited request data in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless a shorter retention control applies.
Your data otherwise lives with our infrastructure providers: Supabase (database, file storage, and authentication) and Resend (e-mail delivery, e.g. sign-in codes). All of these providers process data on our instructions to provide these functions. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your wardrobe to serve ads.
Why we're allowed to process this
- To provide the app (performance of our agreement with you): your account, wardrobe, outfits, and style profile.
- With your permission (consent): AI processing of your photos, location for weather, and the launch waitlist. You can withdraw each one — the AI toggle in Profile, Location in iOS Settings, or an e-mail for the waitlist — and it stops future processing.
- To keep the service safe (legitimate interests): server logs and per-account AI-usage counters that prevent abuse.
- When the law requires it: records we must keep or produce to comply with legal obligations.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your wardrobe stays available while your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time, or delete your entire account from Profile → Delete account — this removes your photos, wardrobe, outfits, and profile from Armovia's active systems without undue delay, and revokes your Sign in with Apple session with Apple. Limited copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups and in our service providers' security logs until their scheduled deletion periods expire. We do not restore deleted user data from backups except where necessary for disaster recovery or security.
How long things live:
- Account, wardrobe, outfits, style profile — until you delete the item or the account.
- Guest accounts — same as above; guest data untouched for 12 months may be removed.
- Encrypted backups — expire automatically, no longer than 30 days after the data leaves active systems.
- Server logs and AI-usage counters — logs up to 30 days; usage counters live with the account.
- OpenAI — we instruct OpenAI not to retain API responses; their abuse-monitoring logs keep limited request data up to 30 days.
- Waitlist e-mail — until shortly after the launch announcement, or as soon as you ask.
- Support e-mail threads — up to two years after the conversation ends.
Where your data is processed
Armovia's database and file storage (Supabase) are hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, AWS). OpenAI and Resend process data in the United States under their standard data-protection terms, which include recognised safeguards for international transfers. Device-side weather and city-name lookups go to Apple's Weather and geocoding services from your phone directly.
Your rights
You can see and edit everything the app holds about you right inside Armovia, and delete any of it — or all of it — yourself. Beyond that, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, or object to a processing, by writing to hello@armovia.app; we answer within a month. If you believe we've handled your data unlawfully, you also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
Children
Armovia is intended for people aged 16 and over, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account and its data; a parent or guardian can reach us at hello@armovia.app.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
Who runs Armovia
Armovia is operated by Kir Dergachev, acting as an individual developer, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
